A new film by French directors Maison Vignaux takes an experimental approach to documentary, fusing footage of Berlin-based artist Tim Plamper at work with shots of his studio, surround and the work itself. Here, the director talks about the collaboration:

“I got the chance to interview the artist and document the preparation of his solo exhibition Zone at Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve, Paris, this autumn. What started as a normal documentary quickly became a journey into the artist’s unique world when we began to question the form of the documentary itself.
